Hello, fellow travel enthusiasts! I’m Victor, the heart and soul behind NestHacks. Growing up I have always been fascinated by the allure of visiting foreign destinations. My journey into the world of travel began with a simple love for exploring new places, experiencing diverse cultures, and meeting incredible people. This passion ignited during my college years, a time when I learned to embrace spontaneity and discover the joys of the world on a shoestring budget.

Travel has always been more than just a hobby for me; it's a lifestyle. From impromptu weekend getaways to meticulously planned trips across continents, I’ve learned that the best adventures often happen when you least expect them. My spontaneous nature has led me to some of the most unforgettable experiences, proving that sometimes the most magical moments are the ones unplanned. Through this blog, I share the strategies and tips that helped me travel extensively without breaking the bank. My Travel

  1. I decided which region of the world I wanted to travel to and being from the United States, European destinations always stood out and for the most part are amongst the cheapest out-of-continent flights compared to Asia, Africa, or even South America.

  2. Like many people my age my travel plans had a very difficult time making out of the group chat. My solution? JUST BOOK IT SOLO.

  3. As scary and intimidating as it may seem I soon adopted the philosophy that the only things that people truly regretted in life were the things that they DID NOT DO. This pushed me to stop waiting on others and take that leap of faith. Of course, this turned out to be the best decision of my life.

  4. As a current university student studying for my bachelor's degree, working a part-time retail job. I was able to save enough money over the course of 10 months to fund my first trip. As mention in an earlier blog post, I found a way to utilize travel credit cards and budget airlines to fully cover all my flight expenses for my next two trips after that.

  5. Ever since then this has been a recycled strategy within my own personal life, and this blog is my way of bringing this strategy to the attention of other young and financially limited people like me who want to travel young but aren't sure where or how to start.
